About This Service

Overgrown shrubs and bushes crowd walkways, block windows, hide foundation problems, and shelter pests against the side of the house. Removing them properly is not the same as cutting them down: a stump left in the ground will resprout, and a root ball left in place makes the bed unusable for anything you want to plant next. We remove the whole plant. The canopy comes down in sections so nothing falls into siding, gutters, or the beds around it. The root ball is dug out rather than ground down where the bed will be replanted, because grinding leaves a cavity of decomposing chips that settles for years. Everything organic is hauled off the property the same day. What you are left with is a clean, level bed at grade, ready for new plantings, fresh mulch, or hardscape. Most single-property jobs finish in one visit.

How the work goes

Our shrub & bush removal process

  1. Walk the property

We identify what is coming out, what is staying, and what is in the way — utility lines, irrigation heads, downspouts, and any plantings you want protected.

  2. Protect the surroundings

Beds, walkways, and siding are covered before anything is cut. Shrubs against a structure come down in sections rather than being felled.

  3. Take down the canopy

The above-ground growth is removed in manageable pieces and staged for haul-off, keeping the work area walkable throughout.

  4. Excavate the root ball

The root mass is dug out rather than ground down wherever the bed will be replanted, so nothing resprouts and no cavity is left behind to settle.

  5. Regrade and clear out

The bed is backfilled, levelled to grade, and raked clean. All green waste leaves with us the same day.
